Meet the Member Event a Huge Success!
We were delighted today that our first event post summer was a great success. Held in the North West Science Park, Derry, and with over 40 women registered this event was kicked off by an introduction from our Chair Patricia Greene, who outlined some of the upcoming events for the year ahead, plus who let us know about the exciting collaborations we have. Firstly we heard about our membership collaboration with Women in Business NI, a really exciting opportunity to be part of the fastest growing network in Northern Ireland. Secondly we heard about the upcoming collaboration with Donegal Women in Business, and the Women Beyond Borders which is coming up soon.
We then had a presentation by Laura Dowie, Membership, Events & Marketing Manager. Laura is responsible for overseeing membership, planning and co-ordinating events & managing marketing activity for Women in Business NI, and she spoke about the calendar of events we can attend in coming months.
We then had a fantastic presentation from Jean Kelly, owner of the multi award winning Eglinton Eyecare, who took us through her journey from when she first open the business to the next few months when they plan to move to the Old Police Station in Eglinton.
There was obviously great networking going on with members old and new getting to know each other.
